The main components of oil-immersed transformers include iron core, winding, oil tank, oil pillow, respirator, explosion-proof pipe (pressure relief valve), radiator, insulating sleeve, tap changer, gas relay, thermometer, oil purifier, etc. Its structural functions include the insulating oil in the oil tank has insulation and cooling effects; the heat dissipation device dissipates the heat generated when the transformer is working and plays a cooling role; the oil pillow compensates for the volume change of the insulating oil in the oil tank caused by thermal expansion and contraction.

    Classification：

    Oil-immersed power transformers are usually divided into large, medium and small types according to capacity; and divided into 10, 35, 66, 110, 220, 330 and 500 kV series according to voltage level. Among them: 

    ① Small distribution transformer: 10kVA-1600krA (high voltage 10kVA-35kV, low voltage 400V). 

    ② Medium power transformer: 800kVA-6300kVA (high voltage 10, 35kV and above, low voltage 10kV). 

    ③Large power transformer: 8000kVA-63000kVA (high voltage 35kV and above).

    ④ Extra large power transformer: 90000kVA-240000kVA(high voltage 110kV and above).

    ⑤ Giant power transformer: 360000kVA and above (high voltage 220kV and above).
